JONATHAN C. RUTHERFORD

Jonathan C. Rutherford is a seasoned full time professional REALTOR® with over 20+ combined years’ experience in residential real estate, franchise development and client services.


Mr. Rutherford officially, began his career in the Real Estate Industry in 1997 with Allstate Home & Property Insurance Company, as an Underwriter for the National Flood Insurance
Division. He later worked as a Business Analyst for the NASA Center for Aerospace and Information.


In 2001, Mr. Rutherford was recruited to work for RE/MAX International as a Regional Management Consultant for RE/MAX Central Atlantic Region (DC, Md, WV, & Va). Mr. Rutherford was soon thereafter, promoted into the role of Regional Franchise Development Consultant, for RE/MAX of Pennsylvania & Delaware Region. He later served as the Vice President of Operations & Corporate Partnerships for RE/MAX Supreme Properties Inc.

 

Mr. Rutherford has held the distinguished honor of being a panel moderator and speaker at RE/MAX International Conventions and has been featured on HGTV's two episodes of "Design to Sell" and one episode of "Get it Sold!"

 

Jonathan is a native of Cleveland, Ohio and a proud graduate of St. Joseph High School. He has been a proud resident of the District of Columbia for over 20 years, and lives in the Brookland community of the Northeast Washington, DC. 

 

He is alumni of Hampton University, Hampton, Virginia and the University of the District of Columbia where he earned Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, and has completed course work towards his MBA at the University of Maryland.

 

He is a member of the Greater Capital Area Association of REALTORS®, the Maryland Association of REALTORS®, the Washington DC Association of REALTORS® and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc, Mu Lambda Alumni Chapter of Washington, DC.

 

Jonathan, holds the following REAL ESTATE Designations and Certifcations:


e-Pro, Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI), Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certification, Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Accredited Buyer’s Representation (ABR) Designation, and Seller Representative Specialist (SRS) Designation.

 

In his free time he enjoys traveling, fishing, camping, beach time and spending time with his two Doberman Pinchers.
